Discover and Experience
Immerse yourself in the unspoiled landscape of Le Marche, from whispering gorges to thriving plateaus.
At Agriturismo Angeli Sognanti, nature is not just a backdrop. Located on the border where the rolling hills touch the sky, it is the gateway to a landscape that is still pure and untamed. Le Marche is a region of contrasts: from the gentle lines of our own vineyard and olive grove to the dramatic peaks of the Sibillini Mountains that watch over the horizon.
Whether you are looking for the tranquility of a morning walk through the vineyard or olive grove, want to photograph the colorful splendor of the high plains, or seek the challenge of the rugged, vertical world: the nature around Angeli Sognanti invites to be discovered with all the senses. Here you can still find paths where you are alone with the wind and the history of the land.
That exploration often begins at the mountains’ most impressive gateway, a place where the elements have spent millions of years sculpting the earth to force a way in….

LE GOLE DELL’INFERNACCIO
The mystical power of water and rocks
The journey to the Gole dell’Infernaccio is like a descent into another world.
As you leave the car and take the path toward the gorge, you feel the temperature slowly drop and the hustle and bustle of everyday life give way to the deep murmur of the Tenna River. The name, meaning “the infernal gorge,” stems from a past when this passage was untamed and mysterious. Today, however, it is a place of pure serenity and natural power.
A walk through the “Pisciarelle”
The adventure begins at the spectacular entrance, where you are welcomed by the Pisciarelle: natural jets of water that trickle down like a fine veil from the overhanging rocks. Little rainbows often form here in the sunlight, a magical welcome that is the gateway to the deeper gorge.
The path of the hermit
Once through the narrow passage, the valley opens up and the path takes you up through ancient beech forests. For those who want to follow the call of history, the path winds to the Eremo di San Leonardo. This small church was rebuilt brick by brick by the hermit Padre Pietro, who lived here for decades in complete isolation and harmony with the mountains. It is a place where you can sit down, take a deep breath and take in the wide view of the Sibillini peaks.

I PIANI DI CASTELLUCCIO
A painting of Mother Nature at an altitude of 1,500 meters
If you take the road from our agriturismo to the National Park of the Monti Sibillini, a revelation awaits you. When you round the last bend and see the Piani di Castelluccio in front of you, your breath stops for a moment. These vast plateaus, surrounded by the imposing, barren peaks of the Apennines, feel like the “Tibet of Italy,” a place where the earth touches the sky and the horizon seems endless.e
La Fioritura: A Miracle of Color
This area is world famous for the Fioritura. Between late May and early July, an unparalleled natural wonder takes place here. The lentil fields transform the plain into a living mosaic of colors: from the deep blue of the cornflowers to the fiery red of the poppies and the radiant yellow of the wild mustard. It is a painting that changes color every day, depending on the sun and wind.
Silence and grandeur in every season
Although the floral splendor attracts thousands of admirers each year, Castelluccio is worth a visit in every season. Outside the flowering season, an almost otherworldly silence reigns here. The raw beauty of the surrounding mountains, such as the imposing Monte Vettore, invites contemplation and stillness. You can spend hours here hiking, horseback riding or simply watching the clouds cast their shadows over the immense plain.

VISTA PANORAMICA SULLA VALLE
Walking through the rhythm of the authentic hilly landscape
For those who want to embrace the immediate surroundings of our agriturismo without traveling far, the circular walk from our village of Cossignano is highly recommended. Cossignano, also called the ‘Navel of the Marches’ for its central location, is the starting point of a route that will show you our countryside. This is the place where the “slow life”(la dolce vita) becomes tangible.
A mosaic of vineyards and olive groves
This itinerario ad anello (circular walk) takes you along dirt roads and past centuries-old estates. You walk between the tight rows of vines that produce the famous Rosso Piceno and Offida DOCG wines, and under the silvery-green leaves of olive trees that have provided the best oil here for generations. The scent of wild herbs and the gentle breeze sweeping through the valley make this an almost meditative experience.
From the mountains to the Adriatic Sea
What makes this hike truly unique is the constant presence of spectacular panoramic views. As you follow the rolling lines of the hills, your gaze is drawn on one side to the rugged, snow-capped peaks of the Sibillini Mountains and on the other to the shimmering deep blue line of the Adriatic Sea on the horizon. It is a reminder of the privileged place where we live: a world between the coast and the mountains; Mare e Monte.
